Frank Ellis, Jr.

Pastor

Pastor Frank was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama and has spent most of his life within 80 miles of there. He attended Auburn University on a Naval ROTC scholarship, graduating in 1975 with a BS in Geology. After serving in the Navy for 4 years, he returned to Auburn, studied Pharmacy, and graduated in 1983. Returning to Montgomery, he practiced hospital pharmacy and attended the church in which he was raised, Trinity PCA. He was ordained a deacon there in the 1980s, then as a ruling elder in the 1990s.

Frank met his late wife Joan at Trinity, where they both sang in the choir; they married in 1993. In 2006, after 22 years as a hospital pharmacist, Frank moved with his family to St. Louis so that he could attend Covenant Theological Seminary. He graduated with an MDiv in 2010 and in January 2011, was ordained and installed as Pastor at Ozark PCA in Ozark, Alabama. In January, 2020, Frank was called to be the Pastor at New Life Church (PCA) in Vicenza, Italy. Then in September, 2022, he was called to be the pastor at what was then Reformed Presbyterian Fellowship of Watertown. Frank and Joan moved to Watertown in November, 2022. They were greeted with 5 feet of snow the day they moved into their house(remember, they came from Alabama), but in spite of that, they stayed. RPF was organized as Grace Presbyterian Church, a mission church in the PCA, in January, 2023.

Frank likes buying books, and sometimes even reading them, to cook, and he especially likes international travel. Frank and Joan have two grown children who live in Montgomery, and who are keeping the dogs that couldn’t make the trip up to Watertown.
